About

Louise Thompson Schiele

Born in Redding, CA

Lives & works in Citrus Heights, CA

I am a fiber collage studio artist working in my studio setting every day.  I create one of a kind exhibit ready images in fabric, embellishing with thread, paint, sequins, buttons, hand drawing, computer images and more.  I create many different types of medium in fiber using vintage black/white photographs, hand drawn images, weaving and tapestry.  I also create one of a kind fiber pottery shapes.

Sewing since the tender age of 10, I was given professional sewing lessons in my small home town.  This experience is the backbone of my sewing expertise and with this experience I have been able to create just about anything that comes to me for consideration.

I supported my family through the years working outside the home in Corporate America which I attribute to my sense of organization and dedication to my craft.
